"We had an excellent experience working with Offcut Interiors on our bathroom remodel. Hunter was incredibly responsive and worked with us to ensure he could meet our deadline- and he delivered the project on time without compromising quality. Hunter took the time to ask the right questions during his initial visit to make sure we were all aligned on the scope of work and the costs. The team was friendly, meticulous, and easy to work with, The quality of their work was excellent, and the bathroom looks amazing!"

"Matt was the owner and he came over for the initial quote. He was very kind and thorough with his estimate and answered all of our questions. Chris was the installer he worked very hard and did such a great job. He cleaned up the mess every night and made sure to clean up during the process as well. He did a great job and we are extremely satisfied with the work. Chris finished installing Stackstone as kitchen backsplash and put up luxury vinyl flooring above the cabinets and he put in Stackstone on all of the soffits and then we did one accent wall of the luxury vinyl. The end result is amazing it feels like a cabin!! We will definitely be calling back if we want to add any more stone to our house!"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
