"We purchased a property that had been abandoned for about 25 years. It needed everything. We had a huge variety of contractors come out and provide estimates for everything. We had to start with the Foundation and roof first and chose the Muncey Team for our roofing project. They were so professional, efficient, and knowledgeable…we asked them to look at all the other projects needed to make the home ready for move in. We needed to gut everything, move walls, insulate, drywall, paint, replace & add new windows and doors, replace water damaged subfloor, and install all the finishing things that make a home a home—everything you can imagine. It’s important to note that we wanted all of this done in less than 3 months on a 2440 sqft very scary looking house— so we could be in by Christmas, and on a pretty tight budget. The Muncey team not only kept us involved throughout the process—- helping us determine what was essential and what could be put-off, or completed ourselves— but they were able to complete everything we needed to move-in November, and we were able to host family in our new home for Christmas. A sewer sleeve is a method used to repair cracks or holes in existing sewer pipes without excavation. Professionals employ a cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining technique, where an epoxy-saturated liner is inserted into the damaged pipe to seal defects. This minimally invasive process avoids digging up your yard and is more cost-effective than replacing the entire pipe, extending the life of your sewer system.
Most newer homes use PVC and ABS piping because they're durable, have smooth interiors that prevent clogs, and are affordable. If your home is older, your pipes might be made of copper, Orangeburg, clay, cast iron, or even lead. It's important to have a plumber inspect your piping before handling it, as some older materials can contain toxic substances.
You can look for several signs to tell if your sewer pipes are damaged. Persistent clogs and frequent sewage backups are common indicators of a problem.
