"Rich is very personable. He puts himself out there. He completed the task of putting a n outside spigot in the back of the house sooner than I expected. As he was doing the yearly maintenance on the 25 year old oil burner, he came up and got me to show me that the unit needed to be condemned. My daughter and I discussed beforehand that when we would need a new heating unit we would go with natural gas. Rich was walking us through the process. He is very well informed. The best thing about Rich is he shows that he cares about people. I am 71 years old and have a knee replacement that is less than a year old. I also have poor balance. As I was taking him to another room to show him something, I fell very hard on the kitchen tile. He tried to keep me from falling by grabbing the back of my top. After I fell, he helped me up after he checked my legs for breaks. He put me on the sofa, put pillows under my knees, got an ice pack from the freezer, wrapped my knee in a fleece"

I am an owner operated carpentry and maintenance service with 35 years of knowledge and experience. I work inside and outside. Working on any building from top to bottom. I have built new homes and remodeled all rooms in old homes. I build, install, patch, paint and fix most anything.
"Darin from House & Home contracted with us for a project which was a fairly small job at the beginning. My dental office Signature Smile Designs in both Bradford and Smethport was sorely in need of repainting of ramps and strengthening of those ramps. Darin was respectful and worked ho*** ** that early project. The results were very good. Because of the result, I expanded the entire project especially in Bradford. He has maintained his respect and poise through this challenging renovation of a building built in the 1930’s. He has put in two new bathrooms, a new basement floor, new treatment rooms were updated and much more. He has performed at the highest level! Continuing, he has painted inside, put new cabinets in , and even leveled two very off level floors in two rooms. That project was done with attention to detail and was technically a very difficult task… He got them back to level and we will benefit from his hard work.. An evaporator coil is the chilled indoor coil that pulls heat out of your home’s air. As warm air passes over it, the refrigerant inside absorbs the heat and sends it outdoors, leaving cooler air behind. When the coil wears out or leaks, you’ll notice weaker cooling, higher bills, or even small puddles of refrigerant around the unit.
You’ll know an evaporator coil is on its last legs when airflow turns weak, the air feels lukewarm, or your energy bill suddenly spikes. Short cycling, hissing sounds, and visible refrigerant leaks are other red flags. Acting quickly keeps the repair bill smaller and prevents a full system breakdown, so call an HVAC pro as soon as you spot these issues.
With routine filter changes and a yearly tune-up, most evaporator coils last 10 to 20 years. Heavy summer use, skipped maintenance, or corrosive indoor air can shave years off that span, while a lightly used, well-kept system can reach the upper end. Staying on top of simple upkeep is the best way to protect the coil’s lifespan.
