"Absolutely awesome to work with..... the bid was detailed and complete. He listened to what my vision was. I was impressed with the dust control, the crew cleaned up their area every night, including vacuum the dust, which kept the migration of the dust to a minimum. Everyone was friendly and courteous, Paul's experience came through as we came across "surprises" and he quickly identified solutions. From tear down to completion my master bathroom was done in 2 weeks and 2 days and I just love it..... Thank you Future Generation Construction... :-)"

Additions, Remodels
"After contacting a number of companies we decided on Best of Remodel. They were wonderful to work with and very flexible with some of the changes we made. We felt their pricing was very reasonable and the crews that came to our house were very nice, respectful and talented. Best of all we love our bathroom. It is beautiful. Special thanks to Arthur and Alex They were always just a phone call away if we had questions. A great company."

Flooring Installs and Repairs
"Alex is great to work with. He is friendly, accomodating, very professional, responsive, efficient, on time and on schedule, and last but least, competent. In short, he is an excellent value. I worked for over 50 years as subcontractor in residential building trades on high end homes in the SF Bay area, I highly recommend Essential Flooring."

Plumbing
"Chris is a very thorough & polite plumber that I would DEFINITELY hire again. I had several problems with worn out, ill-fitting, and corroded toilet parts, as well as spigots, faucets, and uneven water flow in faucets inside and outside. I decided to replace that older toilet that I called about. A new, nicer toilet wasn’t really that much more than replacing all those worn @ cracked parts in that older toilet that I didn’t like so much anyway (very low also). Thank you for submitting my name to him! He amazed me by carrying out the old, and carrying in the new toilets up and down 16 steps; by himself. Polite and never complaining!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
