"I would highly recommend this company. They were very creative and involved with the project. They were able to save me a lot of money on material which my husband and I really appreciated. We were a little hesitant to work with this company in the beginning due how young the owners were but we were very impressed with the quality of work and knowledge they provided. We will be remodeling our kitchen early next year and we will definitely be hiring them again."

"Ideal experience with this company! They contacted me and came out to make the bid the same day I contacted them. They were super flexible and worked to accommodate my schedule. I needed to wait until my EV charger arrived from the manufacturer. They came out the day after it arrived, installed the unit in under two hours, and it's been working flawlessly ever since. Don't let their name fool you--John's Waterproofing is expert at electrical work! I will use them again."

Panel Upgrades, Electrical Repair/Service
"Professional,Courteous, on time & on budget. Jed & his crew exceeded my expectations and understand the concept of "under promise & over deliver". It's hard for a homeowner to know where to start with a remodel & the electrical that goes with it, but McMullen made the electrical part a non-issue. I would recommend McMullen to anyone. I appreciate someone who does what they say there going to do, when they say there going to do it. The only problem I have with this rating system is that there are only 5 stars, I gotta giv'em a 10!!.....Doug G."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesSalem Electricians are rated 4.9 out of 5 based on 75 reviews of 75 pros.
