At Window Nation, we know replacement windows. We’re third-generation window replacement experts who have been lucky to provide homeowners replacement windows, siding, and doors for over fifteen years. We opened our first showroom in Maryland in 2006, quickly growing to serve homeowners in cities across the country – and we’re not stopping there. We’re grateful for every homeowner who has trusted us to upgrade their most important asset: their home. We’ve learned a lot about home improvement over the years, but the most important thing we learned isn’t about window replacement. We learned the home improvement industry isn’t about offering the best windows, siding and doors; it’s about the relationships we build with our customers.
"Started badly because installers showed up, claimed I wasn't at home (I was), and left. So had to book installation for a week later. Installation went well, and the product is excellent - which is the most important thing. But as for any after-sales service, forget it. They didn't tell me that had ordered full-window screens, so I contacted them to order some half-window replacement screens, and it has been near-impossible to get a response. The "project manager" (Bernadette) is never in and never responds to messages, and you can only reach the local "sales manager" (Steve) via an 866 phone number in Maryland. (You leave him a message, he maybe calls you back.) I need to order more windows, and have told them so, but have also told them it is dependent on them fixing the screen problem. Do they want any business? Or are they happy just to take your money for the first installation and then forget you? Looks like the latter."

Aria Construction Group Lllc. Is a full service general contractor.
"Everything went as expected. They have been working on my house since November, and if it hadn’t been for these guys, I would have never thought to file an insurance claim for the damages that I had. They have been up front with me from the start about what I need to have done with my home. They also told me exactly how much stuff would cost. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to worry about some kind of hidden fees. They always told me that they were here for me and they wanted me to be happy. They treated my home like their home. They were also flexible and worked around my schedule. I will be contacting them for all future repairs."

Shiplap comes in a variety of price points. The most cost-effective form is plywood, which you can buy in sheets for an average of $30 each. However, shiplap can be a bit more expensive than drywall. If cost is an issue, consider installing shiplap on an accent wall and covering the other three walls with drywall.
In many cases, you may be able to install shiplap over drywall. It’s important to prep the wall before installing shiplap. Typically, contractors locate the wall studs and attach the shiplap boards directly to the existing drywall using construction adhesive or finishing nails. However, pros usually recommend removing the existing drywall to expose the studs for the best results. This allows for a more secure and flush installation.
Both horizontal and vertical shiplap can offer stunning visual appeal, but each type creates a different effect. Horizontal shiplap is the classic choice, traditionally helping rooms feel wider and more expansive, such as in living areas and bedrooms. By comparison, vertical shiplap can create an illusion of added height, making ceilings appear taller for a more dramatic touch. The best choice depends on your room’s architecture, design style, and personal preference.
