"James Millions presented himself as a General Contractor that would take on the full project. We specifically told him we were looking for one contractor to fulfill every trade - even if that meant subcontracting out. In the end, that's not what happened. They sent us emails, "we don't have anyone to do that - sorry about that". Their communication was lacking - pretty much only email - a day or so later. Several times, they were on vacation and not reachable by us or their crew that was onsite. The site crew was fantastic. The site lead did everything he could to get the project completed, to best of his crew's ability. In the end, we had to manage the project by finding many other trades people to finish the job. What was supposed to be a small project, has been delayed because James' oversold his ability/desire to be the General Contractor of our job."

"I contacted Kelly after another contractor referred him due to his experience on IPE decks. I sent Kelly a pretty detailed explanation of the work. He asked if we have permits and access etc. I responded to him that we have permitted work and sufficient access. I had itemized the work so that I could be sure all the items included in the bid. Kelly also refused to give detailed estimate, reasoning being "too many variables". I had broken down the jobs into only 4 main sub categories which was really relevant so that we both understand the components of the project. In his second response, he asked why the referring contractor did not do the job for me. I had to explain him that the reason previous contractor referred him because they focus on composite decks. Finally, he said he is backlogged with lots of work and he will have to pass on. I totally understand Kelly might be busy but instead of questioning my permits or reasons why the other contractor referred the job (somewhat in accusatory tone -as if I am in a shortage of capable contractors), he should have explained his schedule and the wait time required or simply explain that he can not take jobs currently. I also think all contractors should be able to itemize parts of a project in a legitimate bid so that owners can have a better understanding."

"Rafael and his crew were amazing to work with. The initial visiting for a quote was free and very informative. He was quick to understand my sketches for a totally different deck design, asked really helpful questions, and gave clear recommendations. They were able to start promptly. All of the crew members were very professional in their communication and planning and updates. They were highly skilled and did excellent quality work. I am so happy with my new deck! When work was done, they honored their quoted price. For my project they did not ask for any payment upfront, just payment in full upon completion to my satisfaction. They do take other payment methods but prefer cash so I suggest you ask about your payment options upfront. For the whole process, this company was great to work with. The craftsman of the finished work was excellent quality. I recommend them to everyone."
