"Paid almost $500 for half a year of pest control without ANY call outs for service. This was during winter before there were even really any pests to be controlled. After realizing I was about to start getting charged even more during actual pest season, I called Mike to ask some questions. He confirmed that they had been charging me $40/mos just to come "check" bait stations, and that mine hadn't really needed much bait. Yikes. Really? When I told him we'd like to cancel he proceeded to charge me an additional $120 for cancelation. The only businesses who charge cancelation fees are the ones who know their customers are eventually going to get tired of being ripped off, and want a way to soften the blow of losing customers to bad business practices. You can find better pest control cheaper. I am confident I can find someone honest enough not to bill me for nothing for several months to help them through their lean season, and then fleece me again on the back end when I cancel."

Depending on the method, they will return to remove the bodies or release the moles in a suitable environment far from your home (at least 5 miles). "Moles are attracted to a yard rich in food sources and loose, moist soil. They are drawn by abundant grubs, earthworms, and insects that make a nourishing meal for them. Moist, well-drained soil also enables easy tunneling, which further encourages these animals to inhabit your yard. Recognizing these factors can help you understand why moles appear on your property."
To make your yard less attractive to moles, alter your landscape to remove the conditions they favor. Install deep barriers around garden beds, clear out debris such as tree stumps and dead leaves, and manage grub populations actively. Incorporate plants known to deter moles, such as daffodils, marigolds, and garlic, to significantly discourage their presence.
Moles pose minimal danger to you. They do not carry rabies and do not bite humans under normal circumstances. Their impact is confined to creating tunnels that may cause minor lawn damage. In the event of a bite, immediate medical care is recommended to prevent infection and to ensure proper treatment, although bites are extremely uncommon.
