"It went very well. Ross and crew showed up early and did a major repair to all the main bathroom fixtures where a leak was discovered behind the bathtub wall. The work was done in half a day with minimal disruption to the bathroom itself. There was less tearing up than expected and water pressure restoration was a bonus. "A few weeks ago our gas hot water heater died. We had never used Valdel Plumbing before but were extremely impressed with the entire experience. We found them on Angie's list as being highly rated and there's a reason for it. We called them at 7:30 in the morning and by 11:30 AM had hot water and that's not exaggerating! Their specialist, Steve Ault was awesome and very knowledgeable. He quickly got to work dismantling the old unit. He even had a new heater and all the parts on his truck so there wasn't even a delay in waiting for parts or a new heater to be delivered. He also installed a drip pan, a pressure regulator and re-routed some of the exhaust piping for better venting. The price they charged seemed to be in line with the work performed. Obviously, based on our first time experience, we'd highly recommend Valdel and Steve for any residential plumbing work. Thanks Valdel!"

"Michael called ahead gave approximate time and was here on time. Came in did the job it was a mess because the access door wasn’t where the problem was of course. He put a hole got access and did the job. He was great, mess was cleaned up and checked his work and all was good. Price was very reasonable, I called after hours left a message because it wasn’t an emergency and they called early the next day and scheduled for that day. I will call again for any plumbing problem."

"American came and did the cleanout and in-line camera inspection for $400 and later sent the $8000 sewer line replacement proposal warning us that the clogging problem could reoccur.  The $400 was apparently reasonable since the line clogged again in a week or 2 and we called another plumber to do a cleanout and inspection and they also charged $400.  We were concerned about the seemingly high price from American; that is why we called a different plumber for the 2nd cleanout so we could get an independent second opinion since we apparently did have a recurring problem.  The difference was the 2nd plumber, Carney Plumbing of Line Lexington, PA, saw that the problem was a crack in the line that was letting dirt and ground water in causing the clogs, not just a dip in the line, and they gave an estimate of ~$3900 for the exact same sewer line replacement!  We had Carney do the sewer line replacement work and there is no way American could have done a better job that would be worth more than 2 times the price.  American did a reasonable job on the cleanout, but their pricing for the sewer line was excessive.
