Dr. Beers and Dr. Stilwill both graduated from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Stilwill is in our office 2 weeks a month and Dr. Beers is available full-time.
"If you want dentists to “watch” issues with teeth until they turn into larger issues that become much more severe and costly in the future...this is the place. If you want crowns to fall off after being cemented by these dentists...this is the place. If you want to be charged time and time again for recementing fees...this is the place. If you want to go thru the long (and presumably permanent) process of getting an implant, just for the crown to fall off of it afterwards (and then pay again to have it recemented)...this is the place. If you want Lisa, the office manager, to talk down to you when questioning why you are being charged for shoddy dental work...this is the place. Do yourself a favor and find another dentist."

"Memorial Day Weekend Nightmare: The week before Memorial Day, I hired Dave's Tree Service to trim the trees in my front-yard. He guaranteed me there would be three very experienced tree trimmers and two would be 'tree-climbers'. The project should be done in about 5 hours - give or take an hour. I said OK. However, on Weds May 23, when Dave arrived at my home, he only dropped one tree-climber and a handyman [both the tree climber and handyman were only recently hired] and the handy man had no real tree trimming experience. Let me say at the start of this review, the two workers are both good men and this review is not a reflection on them. When Dave was about to drive away [to work on other jobs] …. I asked where are the other workers? He responded they would be here shortly…. they never showed up. I'm paying HOURLY for a tree trimming project that includes three experienced tree climbers/trimmers and only one shows up and the owner disappears to work on other jobs with the meter running and my bill mounting. Quickly it became apparent the tree-climber did not have all the proper equipment to climb the trees. And I felt his safety was in question. In addition the handy man had to borrow some of my tools to start cutting branches. Throughout this ordeal I'm in constant contact with Dave and it one excuse after another, Though Wednesday was a disaster, Dave said he’d have the full crew at my house bright and early on Thursday... but I needed to pay him approx. $1,000 for the work done on Wednesday. My yard was a complete catastrophe and I need to get this project done. He had backed me into a corner... so I paid him the money. Thursday morning, NO ONE SHOWED UP! So... Dave says he’ll have a FULL CREW at my house on Friday. And they’ll get the project done on Friday no matter how long it takes. Come Friday, again only the tree climber and handy man show up. And the tree climber has to leave at 10:30 am for a doctor appointment... he never returned that day. Dave basically says; 'oh well...they’ll be back next Tuesday'. After six days [which should have been one], on Tuesday, May 29, three guys finally showed up and they cleaned up what was left. There were still trees needing to be trimmed but I just wanted them out of there. It cost me 'an arm and a leg’ for this nightmare. Let me say, this is an abbreviated version and I do have many more details. Fortunately, I took copious notes w/ videos in case I needed to go to court. If you hire Dave’s Tree Service, I suggest you be prepared to do the same."

Yes, grinding a stump is worthwhile if you plan to use the area for planting, recreation, or building. Removing the stump clears space for new landscaping or construction projects. Additionally, as the stump decomposes, it can rob the soil of nitrogen, affecting the growth of other plants. Stumps are also a tripping hazard, making removal a wise choice.
The time it takes to grind a stump depends on its size, density, and the grinder's performance. A small, soft stump can be ground in 15 minutes, while a large, dense stump may require up to eight hours for complete removal. Factors like the stump's structure and your grinding technique affect how quickly you can remove it.
Grinding a stump is often the best solution for clearing an area for construction or planting. It removes the visible portion of the stump, but the roots remain underground. If you need to remove the roots for long-term stability or design plans, you'll need to hire a professional for full stump and root removal. This ensures your site is completely cleared for future projects.
Leaving a tree stump in your yard can cause several problems. It can become a breeding ground for pests and diseases that might harm nearby trees and structures. Plus, the decaying stump can interfere with your landscaping plans, making mowing difficult and promoting unwanted new growth that can disrupt soil stability. Removing the stump eliminates these risks and improves your yard's safety and appearance.
To effectively kill a stump, you need to interrupt its nutrient supply and speed up decay. Drill holes into the stump and fill them with a concentrated herbicide like glyphosate, rock salt, or Epsom salt. This method ensures the substance penetrates deeply. Alternatively, cover the stump with a dark, heavy-duty tarp to deprive it of sunlight, which accelerates the process. Remember to follow safety guidelines when using these methods.
