First we will pre treat all carpeted areas, then we come through with our CRB machine (counter rotating brushes) this helps emulsify the soil lifting it to the tops of the fibers. Then we do a final hot water extraction with 230 degrees of water and a mild rinsing agent. We have 20 years of experience in the business. I am a owner operator with many years of experience. "I just recently had a duct cleaning done by a reputable company after moving into another home. The time and manner in which they performed the service was well beyond what I had experienced with Top Dog. So, that is why this complaint is being filed after more than 1 yr. Top Dog advertised (and still do) $99 for 10 ducts and $15 for each additional duct. Also, they said there would be an additional nominal charge for being outside of their normal area. My home had 14 ducts, so the service charge should have been $159; however, they charged $400 plus $30 tax. In addition for the exorbitant bill, only one guy was there for 1 hr, failed to clean several of the ducts, and instead of using a large vacuum hose placed at the furnace plenum and compressed air via the vents, they only used a small brush ad vacuum hose via the vents. Clearly, I received unsatisfactory service (now that I know how it should be done) and was grossly overcharged. Its outrageous that Top Dog has an A+ rating with the BBB. I would never recommend their service and disgusted that they are still in operation."

After more than a month I still had not received anything, so I called their office on 3/10/22. I spoke to Annika who said she was working on my estimate even as we spoke, and that I would have something by end of day. It is now 4/7/22 and I have not heard anything from them. If you don't have the time for my projects, fine. Just be grown-ups and tell me that. I had a substantial budget, so that wasn't the issue. I was seriously considering moving forward with your bid for ALL new windows in my house, but if this is how you treat customers, then it's a hard pass for me. Some common courtesy and communication are simply the bare minimum that a consumer should expect. Do better, please."

Travertine is a natural limestone cut into slabs and processed into tiles. In contrast, porcelain tiles are a form of ceramic made to mimic the look of natural stone. Travertine is porous and less durable than porcelain, which is extremely hard and resistant to scratching and water. Natural stones like travertine are also more expensive than ceramic tiles. Hairline cracks in travertine tiles often originate from cracks or voids in the concrete subfloor. You can avoid this kind of damage by applying an elastic fracture-guard coating on top of the concrete slab before installing the tile. The coating provides the added benefit of locking away any moisture that might otherwise creep up from the concrete slab.
Travertine tiles last between 75 and 100 years when installed correctly and maintained with the proper care. By regularly cleaning with the right products and handling furniture moves carefully, you ensure the tiles retain their natural beauty and strength over time. Consistent maintenance, including proper sealing, keeps your travertine floors durable for decades.
To reseal travertine tile, start with a thorough steam cleaning of the tile and grout to remove dirt and debris. After cleaning, apply a high-quality sealant to protect the tile surface. Sealants cost between $30 and $40 per quart, and professional resealing services charge $1 to $2 per square foot, ensuring your tile remains protected and visually appealing.
