We started to remove the gutters so the fascia could be painted and behold we discovered that Brennan installed the drip edge on top of the felt instead of directly on the roofing plywood! Now we have to get a contractor out here to repair over 200 linear feet of drip edge and roofing before we can paint and rehang the gutters!!"

"We had Energy Home Pros come out to quote us for a total home window replacement at my mom's house. They quoted her around $30K and the guy even "haggled" with his manager over the phone to get a couple thousand discounted off of this. They said they would email the quote over. I followed up a few times to get this emailed quote to see for myself what they were trying to sell my mom for that much money. After many messages to them for the quote to be sent over, they have not responded at all. I am guessing the sales person realized that the quote would go to someone else for scrutiny and he could not trick my mother into this sale easily. Major predatory behavior. Watch out, folks. BTW, two other extremely well rated companies quoted us around $11K for total home window replacement."

"The WORST… I started this process over a year ago when I had a leaking window. It took several weeks to get the sales person out to measure (his name was Johnny). When he showed up he was intoxicated, but he gave me some excuse about a mental disorder (which I believed). He had mentioned that he had had lots of complaints before about him being drunk. He then placed the order, and I had to wait 8 weeks for the windows to arrive before installing. When they arrived it was the wrong size, so now I know longer believe his story about a mental disorder. He was definitely intoxicated. He had measured wrong, and now my tenant had to wait another 8 weeks for the new order to arrive. The windows arrived and they were installed (4 months later), so I thought we were finally done. Nope, months later I received a message from my HOA that they were going to fine me, because the insulation foam was visible, and it clearly was. I reached out to Window World to correct the problem, and I was told that a manager would call me back. That call back never happened. I called back again later and I was told the same thing again, but now I actually needed a new window as well, because my HOA demands that the two windows to that unit match. Now that I need a new order, I finally did get a call from the “manager” Jake Rodger, and I explain the situation and how this has been going on for over a year at this point, and how I needed a new window, but if I were to use them again I would need some sort of financial remedy in the form of credit. He assured me that he would take care of the foam as well as see what he could do about the credit. I explained, that after all this I would never use Window World again, but they were lucky that my HOA needs my windows to match and that I would give them the opportunity to make it right so that hopefully I could use them for my other rental units. I had to follow up with him several times via phone and text messages. I later discovered that the manager was a “field supervisor” not a manager. He did schedule with me to go remove the foam, but of course it was cancelled and he had to reschedule. I have continued to follow up on the credits with no response. He did finally get out there and remove the foam. However, I waited weeks again to get a call back from Johnny (sales person) about scheduling the measurements, and when he finally did set a day he didn’t show up. I followed up and received no response. Days later I discovered a quote/estimate requesting my signature in my inbox. So he decided to go without rescheduling without notification to advise the tenant. Finally after getting nowhere with the credit I decided to bite the bullet and just get it done. I very reluctantly signed the estimate to get the window on order. I thought finally I am done, and in another 8 weeks I will have this new window and be done with this mess. Nope, Johnny texted me that he had made a typo on the quote and that he had sent the revised at a cost of $365 more. Absolutely not. If you’re considering Window World especially in the Houston area I would highly suggest a different option. I would definitely pay significantly more to never use them again."

"I took bids from 4 contractors. All State Was the low bid - but knowing the low bidder isn't always the wise choice I checked their references and visited some of the homes they did in our area. References were all good and I proceeded to hire All State. Our 2 story home built in 1992 had 30 very inefficient single pane windows and is half brick/siding - siding was the original wood fiber board. We chose the Hardi siding and Vistamark replacement vinyl windows. We also contracted for a complete repaint of the exterior. Installation was three days for the windows; four days for the siding; and two days for the painting. All work was done professionally and with a smile - despite the sweltering Houston area mid-July weather. The crew called attention to areas of concern and replaced bad wood where necessary - fortunately not too much for us. All contacts on the All State team from estimator Patrick, project manager Mike, and Mary in the office were pleasant to deal with and professional at all times. We had one small error on the window order and All State corrected the error quickly. I am not including pricing below because every job is different - therefore I recommend you get at least 4 bids on your project. I also recommend you be on site while the work is going on to see what your house likes like once deconstruction begins and decisions about corrections can be made quickly."
