"The carpenter that did the job (Adam) was amazing. He had to expand the space for one window, narrow the space for another, and repair much cedar siding that had rotted away due to water damage. He also reshaped my patio door so it would close and lock more easily. He is a very talented carpenter and I have no qualms about highly recommending him."

"From the first meeting with Ilir Iljazi, I felt at ease. I had multiple issues from trees that damaged a stone wall, stone steps and stone chimney. Punctual, polite, and listens to all of my concerns. Their crew were hard-working, and kept everything neat and organized, and when finished they tidied up the areas and removed all the depris. Every detail was addressed and they worked with the insurance company so their work was paid for in full. Lucky to have found such a wonderful company."

"Lorenzo Salvioli was incredibly efficient, responsive, professional, and straightforward in his communications and the work he and his team performed. He came out first to meet with me and view the area we wanted to repave. He advised me on materials and where I might purchase them. He returned to measure the specific area and gave me an accurate count of how many pavers and how many thin stones to order. He predicted how long the project would take. The project came out beautifully. He and his team were very careful with the plants around the patio area that was repaved with porcelain pavers. We appreciated their care with our lawn and landscaping. They were clean and methodical in preparing the area to be repaved, paving it, and cleaning up afterwards. The outcome far exceeded my expectations - and that's a lot because I am a perfectionist. Lorenzo is an honest, highly skilled, and highly experienced mason and businessman. I recommend him to anyone. The fact that he consistently did as he said he would do (beginning with calling when he said he'd call, coming by when he said he would, and supplying a proposal when he said he would) set him apart from other potential masons I interviewed. His proposal was detailed, specific, and described exactly what he did. He also was reliable in following up with the paver provider and making sure the right materials had been ordered and starting when he said he would). Part of the beauty of the newly paved patio is the good feeling I have about Lorenzo's having done it. It is such a pleasure to work with such a professional and honest person. He absolutely knows his materials and the machines used to cut and apply it. I would trust him with any project involving masonry -- and probably beyond that scope were his business to take him there."

"Very pleased with the wall built and the customer service received... Guri was polite, considerate (tarp under truck, kept area clean), and a true craftsman... The stones were chiseled and time was taken to create a beautiful stacked stone wall. "The visit to my home in West Hartford was a nice affair. The technician explained everything. He even mentioned that I had to get a plumber to remove the sink away from the wall, so the work could be done to repair the window and wall area, but I did not hear him mention that I had to pull permits. The problem with this permit pulling issue is that I never initiated the pulling of permits, and this also is a red flag for me. The pulling of a permit should always be done by the contractor who is doing the job. It ensures that the permit pulled is to code. It ensures that the permit pulled follows local ordinance and CT. laws and statutes regarding construction, and that also includes consumer protection mandates in the State of Connecticut. Having me pull the permit to allow the CT. Basement Systems to do the work is a big, red flag, and it can result in my home owner's policy being cancelled if the permits are pulled either after the fact, or the permits pulled do not line up with the inspection process. I can also be fined by the town for pulling permits after the fact too. I've had my furnace replaced. The plumbing company who replaced the furnace followed state law and guidelines. Especially, since funding provided through a loan from a Credit Union chosen by the State of Connecticut ensured that permits were pulled correctly, legally. The same applies to my roof being replaced. The roofing company pulled the permit. Having a customer whom you are charging in excess of $20,000 to pull a permit is putting that customer in legal jeopardy, which is unacceptable. If I sell my house, and I had the work done in my basement, and the permits were pulled by me. The person who bought my house could sue me for an incorrectly pulled permit. How would I answer questions from the town about the technical aspects of the job, which should be handled by the contractor directly? Why introduce another layer of bureaucracy that slows down communication? Have the contractor pull the permit, so that the contractor and the municipality, town or city can communicate directly, and the pulling of the permit is done correctly and legally. How would I know, when the town should be doing an inspection during or while the job is being completed or after the job is completed? This should never be a requirement of the customer to pull the permit for a job to be done. The tech who visited my home mentioned that I had to hire a plumber to move a basement sink, but they did not mention about pulling of permits, but I went and re-read the quote again, and it is at the bottom of the quote page under "Customer Will" that states not only hiring of the plumber but also pulling permits and scheduling inspections. I did not have this job financed by CT. Basement Systems. I, instead, decided to get a home equity loan. If I did not get the home equity loan, then decided to go with CT. Basement Systems financing, then I would be screwed. The best thing I did was slow the process down, seek my own financing, and ask larger, bigger, deeper questions that prevented me from making a mistake by allowing this work to be done."

Outdoor kitchen building services FAQs

The time it takes to build a pizza oven depends on the type and complexity of the project. If you're going with a prefab pizza oven kit, you could be cooking your first pizza in just a day or two. Custom-designed ovens take longer—anywhere from several days to a few weeks—since they involve more detailed planning, material selection, and construction. While it requires patience, the result is a durable and personalized oven that you can enjoy for years to come.

Regular maintenance and cleaning of your pizza oven preserves its performance and durability. After each use, allow the oven to cool completely before removing accumulated ash with a stiff brush and damp cloth. For periodic deep cleaning, scrub the entire cooking surface with a heavy-duty wire brush and wipe the interior thoroughly with a damp cloth until no residue remains. Meticulously inspect and clean the flue to remove any obstructions. Avoid harsh chemicals to protect the oven’s integrity and enhance flavor retention.

An outdoor pizza oven reaches temperatures of up to 800 degrees, allowing you to create authentic, restaurant-quality Neapolitan pizzas with crispy crusts. Beyond pizzas, they're incredibly versatile—you can bake bread, roast meats, or even grill veggies, all while infusing your food with the unique, smoky flavor that only wood-fired cooking provides. Plus, a pizza oven becomes a natural gathering spot, making your backyard the go-to place for family and friends all year round.

Using fire bricks for your pizza oven is essential for exceptional heat tolerance and construction safety. Fire bricks are engineered to sustain extreme temperatures and preserve structural integrity during operation. Their superior heat resistance prevents cracking and potential hazards, ensuring a resilient build. Employing fire bricks results in an oven that consistently delivers high-quality, evenly cooked pizzas while maintaining durability and safety.

An ideal pizza oven height positions the opening between 36 and 48 inches above ground level. This provides you with clear visibility and comfortable access. This precise height enhances safety by reducing the need for bending over to check on your pizzas, while also supporting efficient heat distribution and ergonomic cooking practices, ultimately optimizing overall performance.
