Hello and thank you for stopping by. My name is Aaron Torres. I've always been a believer in putting your name on your work. I've been working in Arizona since 1996, originally from Northern California. I am a self performing Carpenter Extraordinaire. I do cabinets, vinyl laminates, carpentry wood work, mantels, Shiplap, wainscoting, baseboards, doors and casings. Custom work also. I've been known to help create designs with clients. If you find me in this system and want to use me please text me direct. You can reach me at 602-989-0654. I use Angie leads for vinyl laminate and woodworking decorative moldings. My reputation has me doing kitchens and bathrooms. Non structural remodeling. I typically work directly for homeowners and avoid Realtors, contractors, home flippers and their "project managers", sorry. Please read my reviews to learn more about me. I'm very knowledgeable and resourceful in Home Remodeling, best to get a hold of me sooner than later! Thank you, Aaron

"We replaced the old tile in our home and hired Aaron to install the baseboards - he was great!!! He came when he said he would, called if there was a schedule change and the new baseboards look wonderful! Would definitely hire him again!"

At Organized by Design, AZ, we design custom closets for clients in Cave Creek, AZ. If you need a unit built within a certain time frame, you may want to work with us since our custom closet builders have flexible schedules. We use special building supplies during every project because we’re an environmentally friendly company. Because we’re custom builders, we can design units that have components for crafting materials, gift wrapping accessories, and sewing supplies. If your current closet is narrow, we’ll make a workstation that has a desk that pulls out. Our designers will also include additional drawers in convenient spots to accommodate crafting accessories and supplies.

"Chad and his team were amazing. Project was done well and on time. Their attention to detail and over the top customer service was what made the project complete. Highly recommend!"

I specialize in all cabinetry, refacing, installation, respray, and resurfacing. I also do anything from ceiling fan installation to tv mounting. I've been in business for over 3 years, I am a man of my word and treat your home like it is mine.

"Unfortunately our experience with Ray was not a pleasant one and this review is being posted to make sure people are aware of the type of work he provides.  We hired Ray on February 03, 2025 after walking him through our home and showing him the work we wanted done prior to us moving in. The requested items were to:  1. Paint the inside of the house which he quoted us at $1000 2. Replace baseboards throughout the house for $500 3. Remove double doors in the master bedroom that led to another bedroom and close up that space for $10004. Install kitchen cabinets for $3000 5. Do some work on the patio such as paint and trim for $500.   The total came in at $6000, this price was for labor only. We agreed we would provide all the materials he needed to complete the work. He asked for a deposit of 50% but we ended up giving a deposit of $2500 in good faith to begin the work. Two weeks into the contract, we noticed that the work was not getting done as quickly as Ray had promised he would have it completed. We had given Ray a key to come in as needed since we weren't living in the home yet. However, we found that he sometimes wouldn't show up to the house and we would have to reach out for an update. He had gotten sick but he said he would work over the weekend and at night if need be in order to have the work completed by the time we needed to move in. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and continued to work with him. The following week we again saw very little progress, when we asked for an update Ray was reluctant to provide one. We informed him that we would need some communication in order to reassure ourselves that the work will get done. 3 weeks into the contract and the only work that had been completed was a closed off wall, some paint in the 3 of the bedrooms and the 4th bedroom was mostly untouched.  In order to speed things up before our move in, we hired another contractor to start on the kitchen (line item #3). We informed Ray this was happening and listed out what we needed him to complete before we moved in. He agreed but once again the amount of hours he put into his work were minimal, he would show up for 1-3 hours a day. He also started to take some of his tools home, saying he didn't need them to complete the work he was doing on the home.  Over the weekend of March 1st, we ended up moving in with some of the bedrooms uncompleted. We spent the weekend painting part of the house we would be occupying so we could move our things in without getting paint on them.  Ray showed up to work and started to paint another part of the house but the following day (a Friday) he didn't show up. We texted him if he was going to come to the house and he responded with a question, asking if it was raining outside, implying it was too humid to paint.  Even though there was still plenty of work to do such as the baseboards and small other items he agreed to do to make up for the fact that we painted 1/3 of the house. This brings us to the week of March 10th, 5 weeks later from the date we hired him and he still hadn't completed line items 1 & 2. He showed up to work the following week, completed 2 baseboards and left after just two hours of work, leaving work uncompleted and took the remainder of his tools without saying a word.  We messaged Ray 2 more times, to try to reach an amicable agreement on the work that was left undone. We asked for a partial refund but the only response we received was that he did other work not listed on the invoice. We asked for him to elaborate on this work and he did not respond. We also still haven't received our house key.             "

Honest View Windows offers Efficient Windows at Honest Pricing. We provide high quality windows at a great price. Honest View doesn't have the same marketing overhead that a lot of the large, nationwide exterior companies have, so we can sell a high quality window at a much lower price with factory trained installers so the manufacturer holds the warranty! All of our windows are made here in Arizona as well! So you are supporting local businesses and residents of Arizona as well! I have been in the residential home remodeling industry for over 10 years and have worked for larger exterior companies in the past, and have seen first hand how over priced they are and how they have taken advantage of homeowners. I realized I can fill a much needed void by providing great windows, with great transparent prices.

"Scott and Honest View Windows were great to work with! I was able to upgrade my windows at an affordable price. He made it easy and painless. I would definitely recommend a consultation!"

We can do almost anything and we do it right. From framing to finish carpentry. Cabinetry. Base case crown and chair rail. Drywall and paint. Light electrical and plumbing. Everything in between. Call -or- click to schedule a free estimate today!

"I had Mark the owner of AZTRADEPROS come and install a custom bar top for me. I needed something simple yet stylish. He spent about 35 hours on it and I paid him for those 35 hours. He helped me get materials and save the most money by coming with me and helping me purchase it. We ended up with pretty much zero scrap. Everything we bought was used. We made use of his truck a lot which was great. Lots of wood working. It came out exactly as I had hoped and his presence was very enjoyable throughout the process. Very courteous, communication was great, cleaned up after himself, checked in with my often to ensure things were moving in the direction I had preferred, so each hour of his time was put to the best use. I will be hiring him for small other small jobs and keep him in my contacts as a great all around handymen. He has lots of stories of his prior work and he takes passion in whatever he does. Anything that you need a handyman for he could do it no problem. I reccomend, happy customer."

Baseboard installations FAQs

Yes, you can install trim on a crooked wall, which is a common issue in older homes. Professionals have the skills to adjust trim to uneven surfaces, ensuring a seamless look. However, installing trim on a crooked wall requires additional time and expertise, which may increase your labor and finishing costs.

Trim covers every finishing element used around doors and windows and where walls meet floors or ceilings. Molding is a decorative subset of trim designed to enhance a space's aesthetic. In addition, trim includes elements such as baseboards, door casings, and floor transitions, while molding focuses exclusively on ornamental details. All molding is part of trim, but not all trim qualifies as molding.

The time it takes to trim a house depends on the project's size and complexity. Finish carpenters install trim at a rate of about 20 linear feet per hour. Therefore, trimming a house that requires 125 linear feet of trim would take around 6.25 hours. However, factors such as intricate trim designs, the number of rooms, and any custom work can extend the installation time significantly.

Share project details to get started.
