Within a week, Corey completed the audit. His audit revealed two problems we suspected: (1) one of the bedrooms was receiving minimal airflow due to leaks so it was really hot in the summer and cold in the winter and (2) there were several hot spots at the edge of our eves on the west facing rooms because insulation had not been installed properly when the house was built 20 years ago. He also told us that with only one cold air return (which was undersized) it was another reason our unit couldn't evenly distribute the air. Because our roofline has multiple peaks and a vaulted ceiling, we knew this would be a tough job, both to access all parts of the attic, as well as, to figure out where to place the new AC unit. What a difference in the quality of air! The unit is incredibly quiet - so quiet that the first time I turned it on I thought there was something wrong because we didn't hear the "whoosh" that the old AC used to make. "When we bought the family home, we inherited the last visit of a service contract. Two guys showed up for the appointment, one supposedly in training. After inspecting the furnace, the lead technician told me we needed a $1400 repair. He also tried to sell me about $1100 in other stuff, including air filters because “they had special filters that nobody else had.” At that point, I realized this guy was really more of a salesman and just wanted them to leave. I declined all future service and asked for the service slip. He and the new guy went out to the truck to write up it up, and were out there for 25 minutes. I finally went out to the truck to see why it was taking so long because I was waiting to leave the house. The tech claimed it was because he was teaching the new guy, but — hey, I’m not stupid! — they were obviously taking a break before their next appointment. I would not recommend this company to anyone."
