      Comment: Chimney flashing repeatedly leaked into the fireplace years ago during heavy rains. The leaked was stopped by sealing the flashing years ago, but in painting above the fireplace today, I discovered the drywall has water damage. In removing some of it, discovered rotten wall studs. I don't know if this load bearing or the extent of the damage.
