He came out that evening, checked the problem out and explained that the springs had given way and the opener was fried. Since the mechanism was going on 15 years I was not surprised. While the price to repair was no fun to hear it was within bounds. Moreover he said he could repair the following morning. And that was what happened! He was very courteous, fast and efficient.
