But after talking to Mr Searls and hearing that my unit had been recalled 20 years ago, and that any money spent on repairing it would be wasted, I decided to get a new 3-ton heater. Since there is no AC, the cost for the heater alone at around $1,500 was less than I had expected. They came out the next day and replaced the old unit, gas line, intake and exhause venting in about 4 hours."
