"Vanderlip Construction brought our ideas and vision to a reality on a master and guest bathroom remodel in our 1961 rambler. Eric is both an organized contractor and an experienced craftsman. He is a thoughtful and very responsive communicator who we could always count on to perform the tasks he scheduled throughout our project. He brought in very skilled team of subcontractors who he made sure didn’t disrupt our home life and office work activities. Eric was generous with sharing his expertise and insights that helped us make decisions on key details. We had about an 80 percent design and selected all the tile, fixtures, and custom cabinets but Eric’s attention to detail brought it all together, especially on our counters and master bath shower. Always patient and friendly, he wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the progression and the outcomes. He’s also committed to backing up his work. I suffered a serious leg injury after the remodel and Eric kindly went the extra step to come to our house and install a new light fixture in our bedroom. He scored an A+ on both bathrooms and we made a new friend."

Travertine is a natural limestone cut into slabs and processed into tiles. In contrast, porcelain tiles are a form of ceramic made to mimic the look of natural stone. Travertine is porous and less durable than porcelain, which is extremely hard and resistant to scratching and water. Natural stones like travertine are also more expensive than ceramic tiles. Consistent maintenance, including proper sealing, keeps your travertine floors durable for decades.
To reseal travertine tile, start with a thorough steam cleaning of the tile and grout to remove dirt and debris. After cleaning, apply a high-quality sealant to protect the tile surface. Sealants cost between $30 and $40 per quart, and professional resealing services charge $1 to $2 per square foot, ensuring your tile remains protected and visually appealing.
