"Nestor did a fantastic job painting our home, eaves and fascia board, plus staining our deck. Nestor took the time to do all of the prep work himself which shows that he is passionate and cares about doing a good job. He had a handyman come and help replace some wood and also do stucco work. He really sealed up the house nicely before having his team come out and paint, which they did quickly and efficiently. He did a lot of prep work on our deck to restore it before staining and it looks absolutely spectacular. Some painters will rush you on choosing colors but he took the time to make sure everything was perfect before moving ahead. His team also moved all of our deck and patio furniture and plants before and after staining which was a big help. Cannot recommend highly enough!"

"Eric and his crew are amazing. He answered my questions before I asked them which instilled confidence in me before he conducted the work. His attitude and thoroughness is a breath of fresh air as I own property and he is my on dial plumber for anything from emergency repairs to remodel and new plumbing work. Truely a gem in a field of rough stone contractors. Thanks Eric for being there when my family needed you for all our plumbing needs."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Octavio, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. He transformed my industrial loft space by building three beautifully crafted bedrooms, and his work exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did he handle the carpentry with incredible precision and attention to detail, but he also took care of the HVAC and electrical systems with the same level of expertise. Octavio truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the project. His craftsmanship is top-notch, and he was always professional, punctual, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The space feels comfortable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing, all thanks to his hard work. It's rare to find someone who can deliver such high-quality results across multiple trades, and Iâ m extremely grateful for the care and dedication he brought to my project. If you're looking for someone who can handle a range of tasks and deliver fantastic results, Octavio is your guy. I can't recommend him enough!"

Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
