"Nestor did a fantastic job painting our home, eaves and fascia board, plus staining our deck. Nestor took the time to do all of the prep work himself which shows that he is passionate and cares about doing a good job. He had a handyman come and help replace some wood and also do stucco work. He really sealed up the house nicely before having his team come out and paint, which they did quickly and efficiently. He did a lot of prep work on our deck to restore it before staining and it looks absolutely spectacular. Some painters will rush you on choosing colors but he took the time to make sure everything was perfect before moving ahead. His team also moved all of our deck and patio furniture and plants before and after staining which was a big help. Cannot recommend highly enough!"

"Chris and his crew did a wonderful job painting the exterior of our house, gazebo, mailbox, garage doors and some fencing and gates. The crew showed up promptly each morning and worked long days. They were very neat and tidy and removed all of the trash. They took pride in their work and were friendly and polite. I had Chris add some extra interior projects to the job and had him hang all of our new exterior light fixtures. His bid was extremely competitive and I will definitely use Chris Hanson Painting again."

Painters usually price a job by the square feet of the project. Sometimes they’ll include flat fees for fixed expenses, like overhead and permits.

Interior painting makes for a doable DIY project. You can save some money and get a real sense of accomplishment by doing this yourself. And, with the right prep work – covering, taping and scraping – it’s fairly forgiving. But it takes a lot of time to move furniture, tape trim, prep the surface and cover your floor, let alone apply the actual paint. Instead, save yourself the time and hassle and find a local interior painter.
Leave exterior painting to the pros. Not only do you need to worry about the type and quality of the paint, you’ll also likely need a ladder and considerably more prep work. You’ll likely need additional equipment like ladders, scaffolding and possibly a paint sprayer. It’s almost cheaper to just hire a pro. Talk to a local exterior house painter about your project.
