For all inquiries, please call or text (703) 281-4185. Will not respond to emails or messages through the message center. We have been serving Northern Virginia since 1992. We have Virginia class B license for projects up to $120,000, but will do virtually any project or repair inside you home. We do have a $175 minimum house call fee that includes the first hour of work. After that it is $75 per hour fee for smaller projects. Larger projects are based on a lower hourly rate which is included in the over all project estimate. The cost is generally determined by the job but some areas such as exterior carpentry may be billed hourly due to the unpredictable nature of the work. We may find more work up close or underneath visibly damaged areas. All employees speak English well. We are also able to communicate in Spanish, Cechua or Italian (just in case). We are covered by general liability insurance, disability insurance, workers comp, and heath insurance. I treat my employees and my customers, in the same manner I wish to be treated myself. We have been Angies list supper service award winners for the past 11 years. We care about our workmanship and our customers and I think that is reflected in our awards. Furniture Medic by Karen is an independent family owned and operated Servicemaster Franchise that has been serving the Northern Virginia Metro Area since 1998. The company was started in 1998 by Karen and Brad Osman and is now owned and operated by their sons Erick and Mitchell who have been involved in the business since its beginning. Furniture Medic by Karen is different than most other furniture repair and restoration companies. Through Erick and Mitchell’s 14 years of furniture repair and restoration experience the Osman brothers have developed special techniques and use products that allow almost all of their services to be performed onsite at the customers home or business. This allows for the work to be done quickly and efficiently and the customer doesn’t have to wait weeks for their furniture to be delivered back to them. The onsite process saves everyone time and money. Furniture Medic by Karen will be happy to provide a free estimate to customers who send pictures of their damaged furniture. For an estimate, please send a picture of the entire piece of furniture with detailed pictures of the damaged areas. Including a common object in the photo next to the damage helps to determine scale so we can provide a more accurate estimate. A tape measure or a coin are are typical examples. Also Include a brief description of the damage, the overall dimensions of the piece, your name and contact information, and where the furniture is located. Eric did a fantastic job touching up all our furniture, which looks so much better now that all the scratches are filled and the faded areas blended. The cabinets in our gourmet kitchen look brand new. The cost was very reasonable, all the work was conveniently done in our home, and Eric was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. Getting an estimate via email with photos and scheduling was easy as well--it's just a great all-around local company worth supporting.
