"I had a portion of my deck that seemed rotted and needed to be replaced, so hired them to come and fix that part, but it was pretty obvious that all of the boards were in bad shape and it was much more cost-effective to just redo the whole thing. So they were able to quickly adjust the project, get the needed materials, replace all the boards, as well as strengthen the railing, and paint and stain it, and now I have a very comfortable deck to enjoy!"

About us: "Established in 2012, We proudly offers premium construction services to residential, commercial, and governmental clients across DC, VA, MD, NC, and FL. We're in pursuit of setting the benchmark for excellence in construction, underpinned by our unwavering commitment to cutting-edge technology and valued human resources. The industry's challenge of securing reliable and top-tier construction managers and contractors is real, given the increasing demand and the notable dearth of such professionals. This often results in projects missing their mark on timeliness, budget, and scope. We have harnessed technology and our human capital to bridge this gap and deliver superior results."
"Could not be happier with Jim's work. Remodeled master bath, kitchen, replaced front door, plus several other smaller tasks. Easy to work with. Has a talented eye for style and design. Kept me informed throughout the process. Has experience with the design board in my town (Reston). Never up-charged. I've recommended him to several neighbors already."

"I hired German to renovate our basement (utility room, laundry room, storage...), including a complete overhaul of plumbing and wiring. I was extremely pleased with the quality of work, the organization of various activities, the price asked and the follow-up. By employing skilled and efficient workers licensed for plumbing (water and gas), electrical and carpentry/drywall the coordination of the various trades was limited to the strict minimum. I would not hesitate to recommend German for similar renovation/extension projects."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
