Remodels
"From start to finish, APX Home Improvement was exceptional. I have contracted to renovate several properties and APX is number one. Alex was very detailed as we reviewed what the project entailed. He made constructive recommendations that transformed the condominium from a 1970s property to a 2020 property. The finished product was amazing. The cost was competitive and the work was completed in a timely manner. I could not have been more satisfied. I highly recommend APX Home Improvements. ."

"Two Projects - recessed lights with ceiling painting and door installed in the hallway. Edward was excellent to set up and communicate with; he returned to complete the job to perfection. I added a 3rd task to fix a broken doorbell, which he did on the spot at a reasonable price. I will use him for future work and highly recommend him."

"I hired German to renovate our basement (utility room, laundry room, storage...), including a complete overhaul of plumbing and wiring. I was extremely pleased with the quality of work, the organization of various activities, the price asked and the follow-up. By employing skilled and efficient workers licensed for plumbing (water and gas), electrical and carpentry/drywall the coordination of the various trades was limited to the strict minimum. I would not hesitate to recommend German for similar renovation/extension projects."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
