Project Description: Repair an existing deck
Comment: I moved into a house a few years ago and estimate that the house's rear wood deck is now around 20 years old, maybe more. There are railings that are rotting and spindles that are falling off. The deck is over a large drop and with 2 kids under 5, it's dangerous. I'd hope to salvage some of the deck as the house is going to be under a major renovation in around 5 years and it will need to be ripped up again. So I'd like to see if I can repair part of the deck and salvage some of it - and use composite.
