"Horrible , complete night mare & waste of money! I had to fire him. The ridge vent was never done on the front peak and other 2 were not cut open enough or long enough and were covered with a vapor barrier blue paper, the shingles had little asphalt left from many men walking in them in 90’ heat all afternoon, not a straight line as smashes and dragged by feet. The step flashing up the side of the house on the garage had nails in the corner of it all so my roof would surely leak, the drip edge was not installed properly , all work had to be redone by several other contractors. Plus the repairs done. Too much siding was ordered. Every time he left for the day he’d leave an opening to home somewhere like my gable vents or my roof where mushroom caps were or my attic as cut holes in side of house to enter so any rain or animals could get in. The soffits were plugged full of the blown in insulation he installed and he never put baffles under the fiber glass insulation on rafters so not only could no air pass due to clogged soffits it also would never pass fiberglass insulation with no baffles for air flow-. He then stuffed insulation in the dormer rafters going over bedrooms so again nothing would ever make it to the very narrow ridge vent he cut in. The siding was ripped off and all sharps were left protruding from our home for weeks making it extremely dangerous for us, our family & dogs. The lead paint was allowed to blow off the house also over that 2 week period. The window he took out and then reframed to put back in was also all wrong and had to pay another to back the window out 2 1/2 “ or so as he butted it right up to the plaster wall. Never insulated it or sealed any cracks knowing they were paving the streets the following day so all tar odor would leak into home. Broke a corner off the front patio, banged the light post with something enough to make it now wiggle, argues all day when here with his team and if not them me. Complained about his exwife the entire time was here. Was miserable and complaining of surgery for shoulder entire time was here. And he didn’t know how much longer he could even work with his shoulder so bad. He only appeared 2 days a week to work. Used a person I know with a great reputation to try and build his own. Also did this with my neighbor. I have picture, Ring Camera Video etc to prove it all. He found me on Angie’s list but never told Angie’s list he bid for the job and took it but never told them. The experience was nothing but a waste of money and stress the entire time."

Father and son team with multiple years of construction, home improvement, and remodeling experience. We offer everything you need for all of your home improvement needs and dreams.

"Hired to redo my husband's bath as he broke his hip and needed a bench and grab bars, also to update main bath. Gave him requested deposit for both jobs. Never finished husband's bath and bailed on the other. No refund issued, owes me $1600! His contract Is a joke, has incorrect address. If a contractor is available when you ask beware. All the good ones are booked."

My company has been in business for 5 years now but I have 12 years experience in the field. I have all the best tools and know how for a fantastic quality finish every time. I don't scrape like most painters do, I sand so you have a much smoother and longer lasting finish. My company is LEAD certified and fully insured so both of us are covered. I use top quality lifetime warranty paint and never settle with the cheap stuff. I prime with OIL on all exteriors to insure a longer lasting product. No messes are left behind ever, end of the day we pick up and leave our workplace neat and tidey for a productive day when we come back in and end of the job everything is left in better condition than when we first arrived. I only have 1 or 2 other employees other than myself in which I am on every jobsite working next to my employees to answer any questions you might have. We never have loud obnoxious music playing or loud voices going ever. We work from when we get there to when we leave, we don't take 15 coffee or cigarette breaks and a 2 hour lunch. On a normal day we will work from sun up to sun down depending on your schedule. No one in my company smokes on your property ever. We have great prices and try to stay as competetive as we can but in the construction world you the customer get what you pay for, so our prices probably wont be the cheapest but I can guarantee our work will be the best.

Heating cable for roof installations FAQs

A typical heat cable uses about 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses around 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

Yes, you can install heat tape in your gutters to help melt ice and keep water flowing smoothly. The system is mounted securely above the gutter brackets so the tape warms the gutter surface and prevents ice buildup. Be sure to have a qualified professional install the heat tape using proper techniques and hardware to ensure optimal performance and protect your gutter system.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Both heated gutters and roof heating cables prevent ice buildup, but your choice depends on your roof design and aesthetic goals. Heated gutters provide a discreet solution that maintains your home’s exterior appeal, while roof heating cables offer powerful, widespread ice melting. Consider the installation requirements and energy needs to determine which system fits your property best.

Yes, roof heating cables prevent ice dams by quickly melting accumulated snow and ice along your roof edge. They create a warm channel that allows water to drain freely, eliminating the conditions that cause ice dams. This active ice-melting system protects your roof structure and minimizes the risk of water damage during severe winter weather.

Roof heating cables last between two and 10 years, depending on environmental exposure and installation quality. They're designed to work effectively for a period influenced by factors like climate severity, cable type, and how well you maintain them. Regular inspections and proactive maintenance can extend their lifespan and ensure continuous roof protection throughout winter.
