"They truly live by the code of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheaper than expected (and they included a free estimate too). So ultimately, our slow bathtub drain was cleared. However, the technician had terrible housekeeping. After stripping the caulking around the overflow valve, they left the caulking pieces in the bathtub and told us to flush them down the drain (?!). They said the provided bio solution would clear the pieces just fine...but why do that when a trash can is less than a foot away?? Then, they did not offer to reseal the valve they just opened...just left a mess for us to pick up. As such, we will not be using them again next time...free estimate or not. If we wanted the bare minimum, we would have done it ourselves."

"Fabulous! We needed our water conditioner serviced and other company wouldn't touch it because they didn't install it and just wanted to sell us a new one. Rebecca scheduled us for the following day! Steve Venditti was great, has 20 years of experience and knew what he was doing. He spoke with the manufacturer and they decided what needed to be done. He had the parts on his truck and 4 hours later the job was done. $500 included parts and labor and service call. Very fair price and excellent service. Totally professional. Highly recommend."

When you need AC heating or plumbing services, look no further than Horizon Services. For nearly 30 years, we’ve been the trusted name in plumbing heating, and air conditioning, offering an unmatched level of service at reasonable rates.
"Less than 5 years ago, I spent in excess of $10,000 to have a new unit installed with a 10 year warranty. I should have seen the red flags from the very beginning. The sales representative told us additional vents would be installed and when the installation crew showed up, that did not happen. Fast forward to the present and I am now on my 4th phone call for an appointment this season, 3 days so far of not being able to work as I waited for a technician to come diagnose the problem. The 3rd. tech came last night and indicated that the work the other tech did was not for the root of the problem. (I was told in front of witnesses that the work needed to be done, was not covered under warranty, would cost me $367 and would fix my issues)In fact, the 3rd tech only made the issue worse by leaving our attic return unscrewed and overfilling our unit with Freon that the 4th tech had to remove from our system. Upon leaving last night I was told that everything was corrected. Today - my home is slowly creeping up in temperature (presently 80 degrees inside, while set to 72). The company keeps trying to sell me a "maintenance plan" and I keep reiterating to EVERY one who pushes it that we have been getting tune ups/cleanings elsewhere and will only use them for warranty issues since we have had NOTHING but problems with them."

"When our 20-year-old AC had a lot of problems throughout summer 2020, we knew it was on its last legs, and it finally gave out at the beginning of the hot season in 2021. We had received 2 estimates for a new system in 2020 but weren't completely happy with either company. We got 2 new estimates and decided to go with Fahrenheit. Mike came over the day after we called and we were very impressed with his knowledge and responsiveness, as well as the fact that his team was able to do the install the very next day. The price was fair and similar to the other estimates we had received. The team arrived promptly the next morning. They installed the new unit, blower and compressor. They were clean and friendly and worked hard. The new unit has been installed for almost 2 months now and works great. I am very happy with our choice and highly recommend Fahrenheit."

We are a full service septic, sewer and water line repair company. We have a residential sewer jetter for cleaning sewer lines, pipe video service and we perform grading for drainage. Our business also designes and installs all types of septic systems and drainage systems.
"We purchased a house with the expectation that a new septic system would be put in before we moved in, in October. The septic system wasn't finished until mid-July of the following year, over 8 months later. After we moved in, we were in constant communication with him (not on his part, but with us calling) every single week to ask when the system would go in. Every single week, he lied and said he would start the next week, this went on for 8 months. He never reached out to us to give us an update, we had to reach out to him. When he did show, the job took well over a month and there were many days (sometimes a full week) where he just didn't show up with his team. Our neighbors were beginning to wonder if he would ever finish. After the job was done, the yard was super rocky and none of the grass grew. He also tried to charge us an extra $2,000 for "extra labor" to use our yard rather than our driveway to drive his trucks and backhoe down because we didn't want the large pieces of equipment to ruin our driveway. We told him he could use the driveway if he put pieces of sheathing down to prevent damage, but he refused. So this year, we spent days raking up and pulling weeds so that we could try to grow grass, since it never grew after they left (we watered it 2 to 3 times a day). But before we could plant grass, we had to get some of the spots filled that were sinking in our yard, which seems to be normal. He said to call him if it happens and he will come out and put new dirt on it. We called and he surprisingly answered the phone and said he would be out that weekend to take a look. He never showed up. I called probably 5 or 6 times and left 2 voicemails over the course of a week and a half and he never called back. At this point we decided to just do the work ourselves rather than waiting, which was not cheap. So we bought dirt, grass seed, and everything else needed and filled the large holes in the yard. 3 months later, he shows up, unannounced and acts like I called him yesterday to have him come take a look. 3 months later.... to say the least he is not punctual and does not care about your time. The one thing I can say is that we have not had a problem with our system since he put it in, about a year ago. Hopefully that is the case for the years to come."

"They had a blank slate and still managed to do horrible work. Framed doors incorrectly, poor carpentry finish work, and completely inept at plumbing. Destroyed my downstairs toilet and sink because they flushed thinset and grout. Then, they wanted to violate the contract by saying there were change orders that were never discussed nor written down and signed by both of us. Was threatened in writing and verbally before I just paid them to go away. Stay away! I guess if you have a saw you can say you’re a carpenter?"

Wastewater from your home from your showers, toilets, sink drains, and washing machines flows to your septic tank. When wastewater enters your septic tank, it divides into three parts sludge, water, and scum. Outlet and inlet pipe positions and baffles keep sludge and scum from leaving the tank. Wastewater, the effluent, moves down pipes to the drain field.
If a septic tank is not pumped, it can lead to serious issues. The accumulation of sludge and scum will eventually overflow into the drain field, causing blockages and system failure. Pipes may become clogged, leading to sewage backups in your home. Pumps can also break due to excessive buildup, and the drain field may become damaged, requiring costly repairs or replacement.
Signs that your septic tank needs to be pumped include unpleasant odors around your property, slow draining sinks and toilets, gurgling sounds in the plumbing, and sewage backups in your home. You may also notice standing water or damp spots near the septic tank or drain field. If you observe any of these signs, it's important to schedule a pumping promptly to prevent system failure.
Septic tank odors are typically caused by gases produced during the breakdown of organic waste in the tank. If these gases escape, it can indicate a problem such as a crack in the tank, a clogged drain field, or issues with the venting system. Odors can also result from overflows due to a full tank. Addressing septic tank odors promptly is important to prevent more serious issues.
You should pump your septic tank every three to five years, depending on factors like tank size and household size. Larger households generate more wastewater and may require more frequent pumping. For example, a family of four with a 1,000-gallon tank may need pumping every three years, while a smaller household with a larger tank might extend to five years. Regular maintenance ensures optimal system performance.
