The Speer family started their company in 1900 selling coal and oil to residents and businesses in Northern New Jersey. Speer Air Conditioning was formed in 1958 and incorporated in 1966. Since then Speer Air has attained a reputation as one of the top heating and air conditioning companies in New Jersey. We average between 35 and 50 employees seasonally. We are a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer (FAD) and have a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor's license, 13VH00978100 as well as a New Jersey Electrical license, 14873. We provide complete HVAC services as well as electrical services. Speer Air is also a Generac Home Stand-by generator dealer. "We searched for a long time for a company to replace a current central A/C which was not particularly old, but the handler up in the attic was nearing the end of life so we had to replace the whole system. Speer seemed most knowledgeable, offered a product we were comfortable with (Amana) and were also professional and prompt. Of note we had a troublesome smart thermostat which required that they return multiple times to address - they did not consider the job done until this was fully operational. Overall we were very pleased, but the summer will tell!"

"Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. The didn’t even fix this issue and it kept happening every month even after I cancelled the service. Then having to call them is a hastié for the refund of the 500. Stay away of this company"
