"For anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their home: I moved into my house about two years ago and would get floods in my basement during every storm. I tried to fix it myself environmentally but failed in my attempts. I then decided to finally fix the problem and get my basement waterproofed. Being relatively new to Delaware, I put in a request to get free estimates. I had a few companies come out to look at it and narrowed my choices down. I was down to Basement Waterproofing Specialists (BWS) and Basement Gurus. The difference was the representative from Basement Gurus had a more natural approach and took the time to ask numerous questions, as the other representatives asked little to no questions. The Basement Gurus representative suggested to fix internally AND externally, plus they even added a lateral system in my basement. No other company felt to even thought of a lateral systems or external drainage, or to even ask about it. I could not speak more highly of the representative and his team at Basement Gurus, they took the time to explain every step and the process before and during the installation to keep me involved with what was going on. The crew was extremely polite and respectful of my house, they were very efficient and they *did not play games* for lack of a better word. lol The very next day we had heavy rains, which I was excited to test out my waterproofing system! During and after it rained there was not even a single drop of water in my basement or laundry room. The representative even had his team remove and replace all of the studs that had become moldy and also put in new mold-resistant drywall. Basement Gurus treated us as if we were family and for anyone looking to get waterproofing done in their house, call Basement Gurus, they truly stand themselves apart from the competition!"

"James and his crew arrived first thing in the morning and worked all day. They replaced 22 wood double hung windows with new Okna 600 Eco-Pro vinyl windows. The new windows look and work great. There was one minor problem with the horizontal sliding window located in the kitchen; on speaking with the owner Tom, they have ordered the required parts and will return to install them. Overall we are pleased with the quality, workmanship and value of the windows. They make the house look much better and are easier to operate than our old windows. "I purchased my home in September of 2018 after living in it for 8 years. In December just before Christmas I received a letter from the insurance company that was recommended by the mortgage company informing me that my home had failed inspection because of a unsafe roof and that they were terminating my policy in 30 days. I was frantic because without insurance the mortgage company can call the loan due and forclose. I tried calling every insurance company to no avail...nobody would write the policy. Unable to sleep I was watching late night TV and saw a commercial for USA. I called next day and explained my situation to "Tom" who informed me that it was his company and he would do everything in his power to help. He was at my home the next day...did his inspection...wrote the estimate and the week after New Years they started work. The job was finished three days before termination day. I immediately notified the insurance company to reschedule an inspection and the rest is history. But that is not the end of the story. When the original work was done there was a small extension on the back of the house that we weren't sure about so we elected not to do anything with it. Fast forward to March of 2021 and I called Tom back and asked if he would be willing to finish the job. He said he would love to help and the job was completed today (27 April 2021). The work is as usual excellent. The work crew was courteous and efficient. So much so that when the crew began working I was informed by one of the men that the rain hat on my vent pipe was missing...he started the rest of the crew and left for Home Depot to get me a replacement part. Above and beyond..."
