"This updated review is long overdue and I apologize. Two years ago I needed some repair work done to my stack stone mailbox it was leaning due to excessive water erosion below it. I contacted multiple contractors including QPS without realizing it was the original firm that did the work in 2011. I didn’t expect any warranty coverage for the repair. Rob showed up, immediately recognized me, we reconciled and we proceeded to go over the needed work. Without hesitation, Rob, immediately said he would fix the work and not charge me for the labor or materials. I was floored, like I stated, he did the work over 5 years ago at the time, I expected nothing. He went above and beyond to make it right, above any expectations I had. He worked great with my schedule and got the repair done wonderfully over engineered for the need. Lesson for me, seek understanding, and above all, and in all, Grace! "Would give no stars if that was possible!! Horrible customer service, poor craftmanship, never an apology when the job was done wrong. Took over a year to get a simple roof and siding job done....still not fully completed. Will not respond to messages. Crews could not communicate in English had to call a 3rd party person for translation. Left work site an absolute mess that we had to clean up. Every time something was mentioned that needed to be fixed had to fight and argue to get someone to come out and fix the issue, workers walked off the job leaving my house to be open to water damage with rain storm approaching, had to secure my house myself from water damage. Every time some one actually came out to try to fix a problem another problem was created. Careless working crew. All about the money but never a quality job. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY BUYER BEWARE!!!"

Wainscoting is decorative paneling that covers the lower part of a wall, adding style and protection. Beadboard is a popular type of wainscoting characterized by long, vertical panels with raised beads—small indentations or ridges between the planks. It's commonly used on walls and ceilings to add depth and character. Both wainscoting and beadboard are versatile options that allow you to enhance your indoor and outdoor spaces. Beadboard panels lock together with a tongue-and-groove joint, while shiplap—a similar style—uses a square-shaped rabbet joint.
The top of the wainscoting should be set at one-third of the room’s height. So, for a standard room with nine-foot ceilings, the wainscoting should extend exactly three feet. This precise measurement creates a balanced, elegant look that enhances overall room proportions and delivers a classic design appearance.
Wainscoting can make a room look smaller if the room has low ceilings. The same rule applies with wainscoting as it does with painting any space: In order to make the room look larger and more open, paint it a light color like white or cream. Since beadboard incorporates vertical lines in the paneling, this style of wainscoting is ideal for those wanting to make a room appear larger than it is.
While wainscoting can technically be used in any room, you’ll typically want to reserve it for a more open space, like a foyer where you want to make a dynamic first impression or a bathroom with tall ceilings. Avoid using wainscoting in small spaces with low ceilings. Open concepts like a living room and kitchen combination also don’t work well with wainscoting because there isn’t a clean break point along the walls.
