"Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business."

Attic Solutions is an animal control service that will remove any and all animals from your home. We specialize in the worst cases such as bat and raccoon infestation. We will work with your insurance to not only remove the animal but restore your attic to its original condition to prevent further infestation.
"It went very well. Ryan from Attic Solutions came out to meet me the day after I called, on the July 4th holiday no less, to investigate what I reported. After reviewing the situation in detail he explained that he could set out traps but due to the way the deck is oriented and open he would catch many animals from the neighborhood and it would not be cost effective. As such, he recommended that I seal off the deck area and use ammonia rags to deter the animals from using that area. After providing that assessment he said there would be no charge for the visit today which was a surprise. I would definitely recommend Ryan and will call him if I have any more issues in the future."

"I called Bed Bug Solutions and a few other companies. Linda called me back within a day and spent 15 minutes on the phone with me, asking me specific questions about my situation and telling me what she thought. She said that I should be able to find evidence of bedbugs if I had been being bitten for this long, and suggested how to look. I asked clarifying questions and she answered each one in a way that I found informative, clear, and connectful. She quoted me what I consider to be a low rate for a dog inspection (if I wanted one) compared to to the other companies I asked, which I was surprised at and appreciated. I really like how Linda talked to me and I want to express my appreciation for you, Linda, by writing this review here. I inspected my sheets, mattress and bedframe thoroughly for evidence of bedbugs and didn't see any bugs or spots. I concluded I don't have bedbugs, which I'm relieved about. If I had decided to hire a dog inspection, I would have chosen Linda first, both because of price and because of the quality of her communication. Best wishes to you, Linda, for your continued success."

Pest control professionals can use poisonous bait, set traps, fumigate, or a combination of these treatments to get rid of moles. Depending on the method, they will return to remove the bodies or release the moles in a suitable environment far from your home (at least 5 miles). You can try to remove moles yourself using traps and repellents, but if you're dealing with a large infestation, it's better to hire a professional.
"Moles are attracted to a yard rich in food sources and loose, moist soil. They are drawn by abundant grubs, earthworms, and insects that make a nourishing meal for them. Moist, well-drained soil also enables easy tunneling, which further encourages these animals to inhabit your yard. Recognizing these factors can help you understand why moles appear on your property."
To make your yard less attractive to moles, alter your landscape to remove the conditions they favor. Install deep barriers around garden beds, clear out debris such as tree stumps and dead leaves, and manage grub populations actively. Incorporate plants known to deter moles, such as daffodils, marigolds, and garlic, to significantly discourage their presence.
Moles pose minimal danger to you. They do not carry rabies and do not bite humans under normal circumstances. Their impact is confined to creating tunnels that may cause minor lawn damage. In the event of a bite, immediate medical care is recommended to prevent infection and to ensure proper treatment, although bites are extremely uncommon.
"Moles, shrews, and voles differ in both appearance and behavior. Moles are burrowing mammals with large claws designed for digging and are focused on consuming insects beneath the soil. Shrews are smaller with clearly visible eyes, often inhabiting tunnels dug by others. Voles feature larger, distinct eyes and primarily consume plants and seeds. Understanding these differences helps in identifying and managing each pest appropriately."
