They take 40% of the estimate for this and then often leave the hardworking painters without payment. The owner who goes by Ben is a crook. Took a deposit from us and refuses to return it after we did not use him. We Changed our mind about using them after finding out another customer had a lien put on their property after Ben refused to pay the subcontractor."

In addition to dustless hardwood floor refinishing, we install site-finished and pre-finished hardwood floors, and custom stairs and inlays. We use top-of-the-line Bona dustless refinishing equipment as well as Bona finishes. All team leaders have been trained and certified by Bona US. so you can rest assured that your flooring project will be done right.
"I am not sure why our experience was so poor considering their generally high ratings, but I definitely would not recommend this business to anyone. I work in construction and am familiar with working with contractors, particularly ones who maybe are not the most responsive, but this was unusually bad. There were significant delays, poor coordination, the team did not do everything we agreed to, but when I asked for a price adjustment to reflect the work actually done (at that point, I just wanted them to leave), Dana said they did extra work (that we did not agree to) so we should still pay the amount from the original quote. It still irks me to this day because they seemed to be a reputable business, but that was not my experience at all. Again, really not sure what happened, but I do not think I would risk using them again because it was so bad."

Jim was our last bid and while a bit more expensive he was so detailed in what they included in the price I think we actually saved some money when compared to what the other bids did not include or were very vague. Plan on refinishing your floors every seven to 10 years to keep them looking their best. If you spot heavy scratches, sun-faded boards, water stains, or a thinning finish in high-traffic areas, consider moving up the timeline. A quick check each season lets you catch trouble early and protect the wood for the long haul.
You can skip full sanding only if the finish is still in great shape. In that case, your hardwood flooring pro can lightly buff the surface and apply a fresh topcoat. You can maintain regular sweeping and vacuuming to keep grit at bay. But if you see wax buildup, dents, or deep scratches, sanding is a must. Otherwise, the new coat will highlight every flaw.
Sweep or dust-mop every few days, then follow up with a slightly damp microfiber mop and a cleaner specifically designed for wood floors—avoid anything harsh that can strip the finish. For stubborn marks, rub lightly with fine steel wool and a bit of mineral spirits, then buff with wax. Adding blinds or curtains also shields boards from sun-fade and keeps the color even.
