"We bought a house that had a mix of carpet and ceramic tile. When we pulled up the carpet we found a mess ( the previous owner had 5 cats). We had to take up a lot of sub-floor. Then we jack-hammered out the tile which left us with a large area of floor that was 2 inches lower than the carpeted areas. We called Mr. Moreno to see how we could install pre-finished stranded bamboo flooring over this mess. He knew exactly what to do and instructed my husband on what to buy. My husband purchased that and the bamboo flooring and Umberto did the rest. He said it would take 2 weeks ( about 3500 sq feet of floor plus some stairs that had to be sanded and coated in poly urethane). It took exactly 2 weeks as promised. He even sent his assistant to work on Saturday to make sure he finished on time. While he was working he discovered that some of the baseboard we had hoped to save was in fact not salvageable (again 5 cats). He came up with a reasonably priced alternative and installed it seamlessly so that it looked totally natural against the areas with the original. He worked very hard to make our house just right. He cleaned up every afternoon before he left. To top it all off, his price was about 20% lower than the other quote we received ( and the other guy wouldn't touch it until we fixed the sub-flooring ourselves).
