"I have never worked with a contractor so dedicated to excellence and customer service. Victor built a gorgeous trex deck that is just extraordinary. The workmanship is above and beyond anyone we have ever worked with. We plan on doing many more improvements on our home simply because Victor and his team are superb. His pool of talent is amazing. We will start more projects including a fountain in our courtyard, and additional Diamond finish plaster in our living room."

"Two young men very polite asked if I might be interested in roofing my home. I told them I was. I had gotten two quotes from other roofing companies in Santa Fe. They gave me a quote and they were in the middle of the two quotes. I asked them to call me because I would have the money in six weeks. They followed up and I still had not gotten the money and they followed up again. I appreciated their followup because my life is busy. They call the day the day I received the money. They came back out and they gave me another quote because I asked for additional work to be done. Their boss came the next day to actually see the additional work that needed to be done. I was going to wait till the end of August but he told me they work weekends. Today it was all done and more than I expected. All very nice, polite and cleaned up more than they had too. My roof is beautiful! I can not express how their work, professionalism and true kindness is sincerely appreciated. I highly recommend them! 1It was the perfect energy shift I needed to get my home it tip top shape again. Thank you Andrés (your cousion) and Ricardo you ROCK!"

"The Garcia father and son team did an excellent job repairing/replacing tile in a shower stall where water had leaked behind the wall. They were able to match the existing tile exactly and avoided having to replace the entire stall. They were professional, timely, responsive and respectful. I would hire them again for other jobs around the house."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
