The charm of our old Key West Style cottage was the original flooring and we searched high and low to find a great guy, old school type repair service that is very hard to find. Most companies only want to replace not repair. Eddie was a God Sent for us. Fair price considering the extent of the damage. The floors actually came out even better than before. Great communication, finished ahead of time. Eddie is an all time pro person and business owner who takes great pride in his workmanship. "I have never dealt with a more incompetent company as Best Flooring. It started with the removal of all the original flooring which left holes in my wall, chipped cabinets and every corner of my house walls scuffed. They were very apologetic and promised to make it right…They didn’t. I brought up many concerns during demolition and installation. My floors upstairs were creaking like I lived in a 100 year home. There were cracked planks in every room. The floors were moving when stepped on. They came out twice to fix the problems and used my 4 un-opened boxes to replace the “problem” areas. I finally had to get a certified floor specialist to come to my home to give an unbiased opinion on what was going on. Which cost more money out of my pocket. Come to find out they never leveled my floors correctly. So As of right now I am out of over $22,000…What I paid them for the flooring, what the flooring cost and plumber fees. They broke my flanges on 2 toilets and reinstalled my master bath toilet when repairing the floors for the second time and the toilet leaked to my downstairs. There is countless other problems like ruining my rug, spilling something on my outside freshly painted porch that is now discolored. I could go on and on. My floors are only 3 months old!!! Please do not use this company. They are awful and have no clue what they are doing!"

"Danny was very nice on the phone and scheduled the job for the next day. José came out and was flexible with what I wanted done. He was very personable and easy to work with. The job was completed, but the next day I realized I wasn’t happy with the way my floor looked (no fault of José’s). I called Danny again and he got back to me the next day. José came out again and was more than happy to accommodate my OCD. He even replaced a tile without me asking, because he wanted to “make it look perfect.” All around good experience with these guys."

They had every right to reschedule with us at the start of our project because my husband dropped the ball and didn't move his junk away from the sheds. They moved his junk and started the project. Sanding is crucial to refinishing a floor properly, but to see whether your floor can go without sanding, perform a spot test on an inconspicuous, small area. Rub your hardwood with a sanding screen and apply a coat of polyurethane. If there's no residue after 24 hours, you can refinish your hardwood floors without sanding. However, you don't need to sand if you're recoating or polishing floors without underlying damage.
The best way to maintain hardwood floors is to clean them regularly with a push broom and use a mop with a cloth pad. Only use cleaning products designated for hardwood floors. Otherwise, you could damage them by stripping the finish. To remove tough stains, take steel wool and mineral spirits and buff gently with wax. Finally, you’ll want to install window treatments to ensure sunlight doesn’t discolor your hardwood floors.
