"We had trouble lighting our natural gas boiler about a month after we suffered flash flooding due to hurricane Ida's heavy rain. The unit's electricity turns on, but the gas was not lighting despite clearly hearing the sparks. I called Mario who was kind from the start, and scheduled an appointment to check the boiler. Mario worked backwards through his checks: the gas valve, each of the wires, the pilot igniter and pilot gas hose. He showed us the gas valve had corrosion and water in it and had to be replaced. He then vacuumed the gas pipes to remove excess water, and installed a new valve; however, after a test, the gas would not turn on. He checked the wires and voltage was proper. He checked the igniter pilot, and discovered the flame was not lighting - gas was not reaching the pilot; the pilot gas hose had to be unclogged. Once he did that, the unit started working again! Mario was very detailed and patient in his approach. He has been pretty honest and kind, and it shows through his work. He made sure to test the boiler works properly with different thermostat settings, and also checked the heat radiators were working and heating the rooms. He made sure we did not spend more than necessary by explaining exactly what need to be replaced and what could be repaired or cleaned to make things work. All in all a great experience. Definitely recommended!"

"My initial phone call with the owner made me feel at ease in an otherwise stressful situation (furnace stopped working a few days before temperatures were forecasted to drop into the 10 - 20º range. He explained their approach, process and commitment to fairness and honesty. While this could just be a good sales pitch, it felt sincere and I came to realize they truly stand by those values. They were able to get a tech over to my house that same day, and after only 20 minutes, the problem was diagnosed (gas valve had died). No upselling, no fear mongering about other what ifs that they could also help with now. Just straight to the point and a plan to return and replace the part the following day. Sure enough, the next morning, a tech was back out to my place with the replacement part. He had it installed and the heat back on in 30 minutes. Communication was excellent throughout the process, with standard updates via email/text and conversational updates by phone. This is a top notch company. I would definitely recommend working with them!"

The first plumber who came said had to bust up tile, cut wall, replace all new piping and facets, repair wall, install new tile and on and on. "Going to be very expensive." My response: "not happening." Called Mike Wallace. He was upfront from the start giving me pricing (over the phone) for visit and first 3 hours of labor if I agreed with his plan. Turns out all I needed was new valve seats and stem and new shower head. I sent him pic of shower head I wanted; and he brought it with him. Job done same day in a few hours! He said "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Now that's my kind of plumber! Give Mike a try, don't think you'll regret it."
